Photo Story
Melanie developed this photo story in recognition of International Kangaroo Care Awareness Day for the East Africa Preterm Birth Initiative. Low-tech and high-touch – kangaroo care facilitates bonding, helps babies regulate their respiration, and promotes breastfeeding.
Earned Media
Melanie served as media lead working with the journalist to get this New York Times article, "Answering Kids’ Questions About the Coronavirus, in Free Picture Books," written and published. It features children’s books that are available on Worldreader’s BookSmart app.
